50 Year Summary

1968 – worked at the Bank of Montreal in Fredericton and Sydney, N.S.
1973 – St. Thomas University, B.A.
1974 – St. Thomas University, B.Ed.
1976 – 77 – Received the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute Fellowship to study during the summer in Winnipeg (1976), toured India with a travel/study group (1977)
1981 – married Marianne Roherty from Marysville
1983 – U.N.B., M.Ed.
1987 – wrote Behold I Am With You…, a history of St. Anthony’s church
1974 – 2006 – taught in schools in Sackville, Charlo, Keswick Valley and Fredericton. Fifteen years as a classroom teacher, fifteen years as a M&R teacher and two years with a social skills program. Retired in 2006.
2007 – 2011 – co-authored the four book series Devon Remembered, a history of Devon

2011 – Served on the Board of the York Sunbury Historical Society and still on the Board of the Fredericton North Heritage Association. To date have edited 10 journals for the FNHA and have presented several history talks to various groups.

2012 – Mounted an exhibit at the Fredericton Region Museum on the History of the Mouth of the Nashwaak at the Trail Visitor’s Centre.

2013 – Curated an exhibit on  the New England Planters of Maugerville/Sheffield at the Fredericton Region Museum.

2017 – Co-authored a book on The Dobie.

2018 – Moved to our retirement home in Marysville

2022 – We are now empty nesters with four out of six children married and one engaged. We have nine grandchildren – 6 boys and three girls. Happy to be alive and able to enjoy our retirement.
